About Me
Hello, and thank you for visiting my site. I am a homeschooling mother of a Deaf teen and hearing toddler. I’ve been a Deaf and Hard of Hearing sub teacher since 2011. I have my DHH teaching credential and have finished my MA in Special Education. I believe in providing a positive and fun environment for students to learn. Want to learn more? Services
American Sign Language (ASL) classes for homeschoolers. Classes are small and separated by grade level. Times may change based on enrollment.

ASL Classes
Classes are separated by grade levels. This is to make sure your child(ren) get the most out of the class. Each class has a different workbook. If you have any questions please contact me.
Communication Class
Communication Class is designed to help your student practice what they have learned. Students that have already taken ASL classes, this is for you. This class will teach students how to use what they have learned properly. Your student(s) will learn how correctly formulate sentences in ASL. This is a VOICE OFF class for mixed age groups.
FEES: Private ASL classes are $200 each month. Communication classes are $55 each class. We accept Instructional Funds, Cash, PayPal, Money Orders and Cashiers Checks- no personal checks please.
Currently we accept Instructional Funds from Granite Mountain Charter School, Mission Vista Academy, Cabrillo Point Academy, Pacific Coast Academy and Blue Ridge Academy. When using Instructional Funds please attempt to order your class at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure an Enrichment Certificate, Purchase Order or Invoice has arrived to use before class start day. If you aren't able to order 2 weeks in advance please let us know in the notes in the contact box and we can verify funds through your Charter. Also, space is limited. Ordering your class in advance is recommended to secure a space.
These are non-religious courses and classes are open to students with all abilities and needs.

This review is long past due as we’ve had the pleasure of working with Shay for this past year.
To tell you the truth, in the beginning, I was a bit skeptical in getting my daughter ASL classes as I was afraid my daughter wouldn’t be able to handle it and give up due to her weak hand muscles that causes her hands to tire easily.
Learning a whole new language with your hands didn’t seem appropriate at the time but I decided to give it a chance. I was afraid my daughter would give up and be overwhelmed...
However, to my surprise, my daughter fell in love with both signing AND Shay from the very “first sign”!!!
Shay is absolutely amazing! Immediately, I felt at ease with her bright, cheerful and bubbly personality! She is very caring and understanding. She pays attention to details and can pick up cues to see if my daughter needs to slow down on bad days and speed up on good days.
My daughter absolutely adores Shay and says “thanks to Shay, she’s unlocked a whole new passion I never knew I had before meeting her, she’s helped me in finding my reason for signing, and that is to eventually work with hard of hearing or deaf kids in the future”
